Many SAT tutors and prep courses will analyze the types of problems that you get wrong and then move forward from there. The problem with that method is that many kids get different types of problems wrong each time and even with the types of problems they answer correctly, they are likely not completing them in the most effective manner. I work with Sherman on the math portion of the SAT, and he has taught me how to deal with every type of problem with his strategies. I now frequently have 10 minutes to spare on each 25 minute math section. Speed, contrary to popular belief, is not attained only through practice. Working with Sherman has been a greatly enjoyable experience, increased my score substantially, and decreased the time it takes me to complete each section. My son Michael first took a group SAT study program, and his results were very good, but we felt that he could do better.
