The transition into Algebra I (typically 8th or 9th grade) and Calculus (typically 11th or 12th grade) is a difficult, frustrating, and confusing experience for many students. Algebra I is considered the gateway course to higher educational and career opportunities for all students.
Likewise, Calculus is the gateway course for those students aspiring to careers in science, engineering, and medicine. To help ease the transition for students, Fox Chapel Tutoring has developed a preview course for Algebra I and Calculus consisting of five one-hour sessions.
