ISEE Test Preparation
Test Description
The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) is one of two (the SSAT is the other exam) admissions tests for many independent schools. The ISEE is a multiple-choice exam designed to test what you have learned as well as how well you comprehend what you learn. The exam is administered at two levels: Upper Level (for students currently enrolled in 8th grade or higher) and a Lower Level (for students currently enrolled in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade). The Upper Level exam consists of testing sessions that last two hours and 45 minutes distributed across a three-hour testing period.
Tutoring Services
Fox Chapel Tutoring offers one-on-one tutoring for all subject areas of the ISEE. Most students complete 5-6 hours of tutoring per subject. Tutoring should begin no later than 6-8 weeks prior to the ISEE test date.
Tutoring is provided at an hourly rate of $80. (One hour minimum) Additional time is billed at $40 per half hour for each visit. Payment is due at the time of service. For distances beyond ten miles, an additional charge may apply.
