ACT Test Preparation

Test Description f The ACT measures a student's understanding of what has been taught in college prep courses. The ACT consists of four multiple-choice tests - English, Math, Reading, and Science- and an optional Writing Test. Total test time for the four required multiple-choice tests is 2 hours and 55 minutes. The optional Writing test is 30 minutes.

Fox Chapel Tutoring offers the following three options for ACT preparation:
Option 1: ACT Preparation Course F
Our twenty-hour preparation course for the ACT includes the following:
It is recommended that lessons begin approximately ten to twelve weeks prior to the exam date. A total of ten weeks will be needed to complete the preparation course. Typically your child will meet weekly with the math/science tutor (one hour per week) and the English/ reading/writing tutor (one hour per week).
Total cost for the ACT Preparation course is $1600. If needed, additional lessons can be purchased in one hour increments for $80 per hour.
Option 2: "Subject Choice" ACT Preparation f This is our most popular option. You choose either math/science or English/reading/writing and we provide one-on-one tutoring in that specific subject area. Our "Subject Choice" ACT Preparation includes the following:
It is recommended that lessons begin approximately six to eight weeks prior to the test date. A total of six weeks will be needed to complete the preparation course. Your child will meet with the tutor for one hour each week. Total cost for the "Subject Choice" ACT course is $480. If needed, additional lessons can be purchased in one hour increments for $80 per hour.
